Last updated: 3 March 2026

1. Introduction

Provelo AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the provelo.ai website and developer assessment platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile picture provided when you sign up via email or Google OAuth.
  • Assessment data: code submissions, AI interaction logs, and performance metrics generated during developer assessments.
  • Usage data: pages visited, browser type, IP address, and device information collected automatically through server logs.
  • Cookies & sessions: we use session cookies to keep you authenticated. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To administer developer assessments and generate reports.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., one-time passwords, assessment invitations) via AWS SES.
  • To improve and maintain our platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google OAuth: for social sign-in. Google receives your authentication request; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): our database (RDS), email delivery (SES), and hosting infrastructure run on AWS in the Asia-Pacific (Singapore) region.
  • Google Gemini API: powers the AI assistant within assessments. Assessment prompts and code context may be sent to Google’s API during an active session.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Assessment data is retained for the duration required by the hiring company that initiated the assessment. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure database credentials, and network-level isolation via AWS VPC. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
