1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Provelo AI (“the Service”), operated by Provelo AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Provelo AI is a developer assessment platform that evaluates how developers work with AI through realistic coding simulations. The Service provides an in-browser development environment with an integrated AI assistant, and generates performance reports for hiring companies.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Accounts

You may sign up using your email address (via one-time password) or through Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Share assessment content, questions, or the AI assistant’s behaviour details with third parties.
  • Submit code that is intentionally malicious, harmful, or designed to disrupt the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity during an assessment.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service unless expressly permitted.

6. Assessment Conduct

Assessments are designed to evaluate your individual skills. Unless otherwise stated by the hiring company, you must complete assessments independently. The AI assistant provided within the assessment environment is part of the test — external AI tools or human assistance are not permitted.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by Provelo AI and protected by intellectual property laws. Code you write during an assessment remains subject to any agreement between you and the hiring company that initiated the assessment. We retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated assessment data for research and product improvement.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Provelo AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and intellectual property) shall survive.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
